Quality Control/Quality Assurance Team Member

Albany Farms is looking for a dynamic and experienced Quality Control Team Member to join our QA/QC team. In this role, the ideal candidate will work directly with our Quality Control Manager to ensure that all ramen produced in our Belle Fourche, SD plant meets our established requirements for SQF (Safe Quality Food), as well as other quality control program standards. 

Key Skills and job duties for the Order and Inventory Team Member position:

  • Work with Sanitation team to clean and maintain ramen lines. Ensure work areas are clean and orderly.

  • Monitor critical control points (CCP).

  • Collect samples of ramen and compare to all standards set for SQF (color, weight, etc)

  • Monitor ramen for food safety and quality throughout entire manufacturing process. Label and keep records of product when quality concerns arise.

  • Perform sanitation on equipment in processing sections. Coordinate with Santitation team to ensure standards are met.

  • Assist in conducting compliance reviews of internal controls and procedures in all areas of program operations

  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met for product safety and quality control and recommend corrective actions, as needed

  • Coordinate with Quality Manager to perform compliance inspections and follow up on non-conformances and corrective actions

  • Educate production line team on food safety and SQF requirements.

  • Adhere to all safe work practices established by Albany Farms, Inc.

  • Report to Quality Control Manager any conditions or practices that may affect food safety and quality.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • The ideal candidate must:

      • Must be 18 years of age or older

      • High school diploma or equivalent

      • Attention to detail with a focus on accurate completion of documentation.

      • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

      • 1-3 years experience in sanitation in a manufacturing environment; preferably food manufacturing

      • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

      • Be self-motivated, attention to detail and excellent organization skills

      • Able to work with a wide variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning/sanitizing equipment

      • Must successfully complete a background check and a drug test

      • Able to work in varying conditions: wet, slippery floors, hot and cold temperatures
