Sanitation Team Member

Albany Farms is expanding our team at our Belle Fourche, SD ramen noodle plant. We are in need of an experienced Sanitation and Janitorial Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of our plant, as well as maintaining sanitization standards of our ramen noodle making line.

Key Skills and job duties for the Order and Inventory Team Member position:

  • Work safely, comply and enforce all company and government safety/environmental policies, practices and procedures

  • Complete cleaning and sanitation as directed by Daily, Weekly and Monthly schedules to include, but not limited to:

  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms

  • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors in offices, breakroom, warehouse, and production line. Dust weekly

  • Ensure all garbage and debris is disposed of inside and outside of plant

  • Removing trash in all areas of the plant, warehouse and offices

  • Weekly (or as assigned by Plant Manager) sanitization of noodle production area to meet required guidelines for food manufacturing, including but not limited to:

  • Sweep, mop and sanitize warehouse and production floors

  • Operate floor scrubbing equipment

  • Clean, sanitize and polish noodle manufacturing line to standards set by Plant Manager and Lead Engineer

  • Document task completion status in sanitation log

  • Safely work with standard cleaning and sanitation chemicals

  • Keep inventories and replenishes cleaning material and supplies. Report cleaning supply needs to Plant Manager

  • Coordinate with Food Safety Specialist any sanitization issues that arise

  • Train and assist in other departments or throughout plant to provide additional coverage, as needed

  • Other tasks as assigned

    • The ideal candidate must:

      • Must be 18 years of age or older

      • High school diploma or equivalent

      • 1-3 years experience in sanitation in a manufacturing environment; preferably food manufacturing

      • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

      • Be self-motivated, attention to detail and excellent organization skills

      • Able to work with a wide variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning/sanitizing equipment

      • Must successfully complete a background check and a drug test

      • Able to work in varying conditions: wet, slippery floors, hot and cold temperatures
